Do Atlantis porcelain tiles require sealing?

Yes. While standard porcelain does not typically require sealing, the Atlantis collection features a specific crackle glaze finish. You must seal these tiles with a high-quality Crackle Glaze Protector prior to grouting, and maintain the seal periodically to protect the tile and preserve the beautiful iridescent effect.

Can I use the Atlantis scallop tiles on the floor?

No. The Atlantis collection is designed exclusively for interior wall applications. The highly glossy, crackle-glazed surface is not suitable or safe for foot traffic and does not have the slip resistance required for residential or commercial floors.

How do I lay scallop-shaped mosaic tiles?

The Atlantis tiles come pre-mounted on interlocking mesh sheets. This means you do not have to perfectly space each individual scallop by hand. Your installer simply aligns the interlocking sheets on the wall to create a seamless, continuous pattern.

What grout should I use with the Atlantis collection?

To achieve the best results and highlight the beautiful scallop pattern, we recommend choosing a high-quality, flexible wall grout. A lighter grout colour will emphasize the individual fan shapes, while a colour-matched grout will create a softer, more unified wash of colour across your feature wall. Remember to seal the tiles before grouting to prevent grout haze from staining the crackle glaze.
