Rope, Drawn In Black Across A Cool White
The Plymouth border carries a rope figure in Black over White, the crisper of the two whites, and is bought singly so a run can be counted exactly. Buy the rope border by the tile from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.
White rather than Dover White gives this border its sharpness. Nothing warm is present to take the edge off the Black, so the rope reads as sharply as an engraved line and holds from the far end of a hall.
Buying singly rather than by the metre lets you count the run, add the corners it needs and stop there. That suits an irregular room, where a length bought blind leaves either a shortfall or a box of spares. The tile is vitrified, 9mm and matt, for interior or exterior floors.

For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

- Setting Out: Lay the corners out before anything else, then count back along each wall so a cut piece lands in the least-seen stretch.
- Adhesive & Grout: A flexible adhesive on a sound bed, and a grout leaning towards the White so the rope keeps its outline.
- Sealing & Cleaning: Seal after laying, since there is no glaze here at all, and use pH-neutral cleaning to stop the White yellowing.

Once an order has been placed, goods that are in stock can normally be dispatched within 3–5 working days. Delivery of special orders, slabs, large-format tiles, some bathware and sizeable orders is best carried out on one of our specialist off-load vehicles, so timescales will be advised before any tiles are ordered. A specific delivery date will be arranged to suit you.
