Each pack covers 1.44m² and offers versatility in fitting methods, including floated, glued, or nailed options. The brushed and matt lacquered finish adds a touch of sophistication, ensuring the floor's natural beauty is maintained. With a rustic grade and a tongue and groove joint, these engineered oak planks promise durability and style.

Access Issues For Large Pallet Deliveries

Our delivery drivers may be prevented from delivering your order by the following:

• Low hanging trees and bridges.

• Narrow roads, gateways, or cars on either side of the road.

• No turning point for the delivery vehicle.

• Unfinished tracks and roads.

• Lack of solid and flat surface to unload.

• Gravel driveways.

If access issues are not advised and/or delivery cannot be made due to unattendance at delivery, a re-delivery charge may be applied.

Is Highclere flooring engineered or solid oak?

Highclere is engineered oak. Each large-format herringbone block measures 15mm thick with a 4mm real oak wear layer bonded to a stable multi-ply core. This construction keeps the floor stable in rooms where solid timber might expand or contract, and the thick wear layer means it can be sanded and refinished in years to come.

What does Highclere Biscotti Oak look like and where does it suit?

Highclere Biscotti Oak has toasted biscuit and caramel tones with a soft, brushed matte-lacquered surface. It brings warmth to living rooms, hallways and bedrooms and pairs well with both painted and natural-wood interiors. For bathrooms or wet areas, consider a waterproof alternative such as the Brecon or Weymouth ranges.

Can Highclere herringbone flooring be used with underfloor heating?

Yes. The Highclere range is compatible with underfloor heating when glued down, as the engineered core copes well with the temperature changes. Keep the floor surface temperature within Woodpecker's recommended limits and allow the boards to acclimatise in the room before fitting.

How is Highclere herringbone flooring installed?

The blocks are laid in a classic herringbone pattern and can be floated, secret-nailed or fully glued down, with glue-down recommended over underfloor heating. Matching straight planks from the Harlech range and smaller herringbone from Goodrich are available to coordinate borders and adjoining rooms.

What warranty does Highclere come with, and can I order a sample?

Highclere is backed by a 100-year domestic warranty. You can order free cut samples to check the finish in your own light before you commit, and we offer free UK delivery on orders over £1,000. You are also welcome to see the full range in person at our Ascot showroom.
