Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

How do I calculate how many Original Style Half Tiles I need?

Because each half tile measures 15x7.5cm, you will need exactly 88 pieces to cover one square metre. Simply calculate your total required square meterage (adding an additional 10% for cuts and natural wastage), and multiply by 88 to find out how many pieces you need to order.

Do these crackle glazed tiles need to be sealed?

Yes. Because of the beautiful crazed surface, crackle glazed tiles must be sealed before fixing and sealed again after grouting to prevent moisture or grout from staining the delicate cracks. The crackling effect continues over time, so periodic resealing is recommended.

Are crackle glaze tiles suitable for bathrooms and showers?

They are suitable for standard bathroom walls and splashbacks. However, Original Style explicitly advises against using crackle tiles in power showers, steam rooms, or saunas, as the high pressure and extreme moisture can compromise the glaze.

What is a crackle glaze?

A crackle glaze (or crazed glaze) is a deliberate, decorative effect created during the firing process where fine, hairline cracks form within the clear top glaze of the tile. It perfectly replicates the beautiful, aged appearance of antique ceramics.

Installation & Care Tips

Installation & care

  • Sealing is Essential: The beautiful crazed effect means these crackle glaze tiles must be sealed before fixing, and again after grouting. The crackle effect continues to develop over time; resealing periodically is recommended.
  • Adhesive & Grout: Use a high-quality tile adhesive and grout suitable for ceramic wall tiles. We suggest using a light or white grout to maintain the crisp appearance of the Helmingham finish. Test your grout on a spare, sealed tile first to ensure it does not bleed into the crackle lines.
  • Wet Areas Caution: While suitable for standard bathroom walls, the manufacturer strongly advises against using crackle glazed tiles in power showers, steam rooms, or saunas where high pressure or extreme moisture is present.
  • Cleaning: Maintain the beautiful glazed finish easily with warm water and a soft cloth; strictly avoid abrasive pads or harsh acidic chemicals that could scratch or dull the surface or strip the sealant.
