A Crisp Finishing Line: Danube Clear Glass Highlight Strip

Frame and refine your tiling with the Danube Clear Glass Highlight Strip from Hyperion Tiles.

This slim 298 x 24mm clear glass border strip is the perfect finishing detail. Run it as a delicate feature line through a tiled wall, above a splashback or around a bathroom to add a crisp, light-catching accent that ties a scheme together.

Crafted from durable, non-porous glass, it is hygienic, hard-wearing and easy to wipe clean. Rated for internal wet and dry walls, it holds its flawless clarity in kitchens, showers and wet rooms.

The Hyperion Family Promise

  • Design Continuity - The Danube range spans squares, planks, large formats and highlight strips for one seamless clear-glass look.
  • Premium Durability - Non-porous, colour-stable glass that stays crystal clear and wipes clean in the busiest rooms.
  • Order a Sample - Free to collect from our Ascot showroom, or posted to you for a small postage charge.
  • Dedicated Delivery - Free UK delivery on orders over £1,000.
  • Personalised Project Support - Sold per piece as a decorative border; our family team can help you plan placement and quantities.

⚠ Installation & Care Tips

  • Use a White Adhesive: Clear glass is translucent, so grey or standard adhesive will show through. Always fix with a bright white, flexible glass-rated adhesive, spread evenly to avoid trowel marks.
  • Ideal for Wet Areas: Non-porous and wipe-clean — perfect for framing splashbacks, shower enclosures and bathroom walls.
  • Handle Cut Edges with Care: Score and snap with a glass cutter for a clean edge; take care with cut and exposed edges during handling and fixing.
  • Cleaning: Warm water, a soft cloth and standard glass cleaner keep it gleaming; avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemicals. No sealing required.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

What is this piece for?

This is a finishing and detailing piece rather than a field tile. It is used to close an exposed edge, cap the top of a half-tiled wall, form a border, or turn a corner neatly, so the raw edge of the glass is never left on show.

Using the matching trim from the same range is what makes a tiled wall look properly finished rather than simply stopped.

How many do I need?

Trims and strips are counted by linear length, not by area. Measure the total run you need to finish in metres, divide by the length of one piece, and add around 10% for cuts and for the odd breakage.

If you send us your measurements and a photo or sketch of the wall, we will work the quantity out for you and check you have not missed an external corner or a return.

Does it match the main tile exactly?

It is made to coordinate with its parent range, so the colour and finish are matched as closely as the manufacturing process allows. With hand-finished and antiqued glass there can be a slight difference in tone between a trim and a field tile, and between production batches.

For that reason we always recommend ordering your trims at the same time as your main tiles, from the same batch.

How are these pieces cut and fixed?

Fix with the same white, glass-rated adhesive you are using for the main tiles. Grey adhesive will show through the glass.

Cut with a glass cutter and score-and-snap rather than a tile saw wherever you can, as the narrow section chips easily. Mitre external corners for the neatest result, and keep any factory-finished edge facing outward where it will be seen.

How many trim pieces will I need?

Each piece measures 298 x 24 x 8mm, and trims are counted by length rather than by area.

Measure the total run you need to finish in metres, divide by the length of one piece, and add around 10% for cuts and the occasional breakage. Remember to allow an extra piece for each external corner or return.

Send us your measurements or a quick sketch and we will work the quantity out for you. We always recommend ordering trims at the same time as your main tiles so they come from the same batch.
