Turning the Victoria Rail: Artworks County White Victoria Left Hand Corner

A deeply moulded 175 x 75mm left-hand corner piece that carries the Victoria dado profile around an outward angle — the Artworks County White Victoria Left Hand Corner, from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.

The Victoria is the boldest profile in the Artworks range, and a section that deep is unforgiving to mitre on site. This piece is moulded to turn the full profile through ninety degrees, so a dado rail runs continuously around a chimney breast or projecting wall with the glaze unbroken and no cut edge on show.

It is the left-hand of a pair; a projecting corner needs one of each. Supplied individually rather than by the box, so you can order exactly the number your run requires.

⚠ Installation & Care Tips

Adhesive & Grout: Fix with a white flexible tile adhesive — a grey adhesive can shadow through the glaze — and grout in a soft off-white or warm putty tone. On a relief profile, keep grout off the face of the moulding and clean up promptly, as it is far harder to remove from the recesses once set.
Layout: Count the corners in your scheme and the number of courses each one turns, then order a piece for every course. Fit the corner pieces first and run the field tiles into them.
Cleaning: The gloss glaze is non-porous and needs no sealing. Wipe with warm water and a mild detergent; avoid abrasive pads and acidic limescale removers, which will dull the surface over time.

Do I need the left or the right Victoria corner?

Face the corner: if the moulding run comes from your left and turns away from you, take the left-hand piece; if it comes from the right, take the right. A projecting corner such as a chimney breast needs one of each. Send us a photograph if you would like us to confirm.

How is the Victoria moulding sold, and how do I turn a corner?

By the box of 4 pieces, covering 0.6 linear metres at 6.6 pieces per linear metre. Matching Victoria left and right hand corner pieces are stocked in County White and supplied individually, so a run can turn a projecting corner without a mitre — a projecting corner needs one of each.

Will County White match across the different Artworks shapes and mouldings?

Every Artworks piece is finished in the same County White glaze, so field tiles, half tiles, mouldings, skirtings and wrapping pieces are designed to be used together. As with any glazed ceramic there can be slight variation between production batches, so we recommend ordering everything for a scheme at the same time.

Can Artworks Brilliant White tiles be used in a shower or wet room?

Yes. Artworks is specified for both wet and dry wall areas, so it is at home in a shower enclosure, a wet room or around a bath. The background must be sound, dry and properly tanked, and a flexible waterproof adhesive and grout should be used throughout the wet zone.

Can I see a sample before I order?

Yes. Cut samples are free to collect from our Ascot showroom, or we can post one to you for the cost of postage. Seeing the glaze in your own light is the surest way to judge how it will sit against your paint, stone and metalwork.
