A Two-Tone Ground With A Decorative Tile Set Into It
Clare pairs black with Dover White and then introduces the Cardigan decorative tile, so a restrained two-colour ground gains a repeating point of interest. Order ground and inserts from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.
Two colours keep the ground calm; the Cardigan insert is what gives it rhythm. Placed at intervals, a decorative tile turns an even field into something that unfolds as you walk along it, which suits a hall far better than an unrelieved repeat.
The ground colours are body-coloured vitrified ceramic, matt at 9mm, with the black and Dover White fired through rather than glazed on. Suitable for interior and exterior floors, the scheme carries through a porch and out onto a path without alteration.

When your order arrives
Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.
Returns
To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.

Installation & care
- Setting Out: Decide the insert interval and mark it out before laying, so the decorative tiles fall on a rhythm rather than where they land.
- Adhesive & Grout: Flexible adhesive over a level base, with a grout taken from the Dover White so the ground stays quiet around each insert.
- Sealing & Cleaning: Unglazed, so seal the floor after laying, once it has dried; keep to pH-neutral cleaning and sweep grit off the pale ground.

Once an order has been placed, goods that are in stock can normally be dispatched within 3–5 working days. Delivery of special orders, slabs, large-format tiles, some bathware and sizeable orders is best carried out on one of our specialist off-load vehicles, so timescales will be advised before any tiles are ordered. A specific delivery date will be arranged to suit you.
