Description

Turning the Skirting: Artworks Brilliant White Skirting Right External Corner

A purpose-made 167 x 152mm right-hand piece that carries a ceramic skirting run around an outside corner — from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.

At floor level, corners take punishment. Rather than relying on a mitred cut that will chip the first time it meets a vacuum cleaner, this dedicated right-hand piece turns the skirting profile in a single glazed casting — hard-wearing, fully glazed and neatly resolved.

It is the right-hand half of a handed pair; a projecting corner such as a chimney breast or boxed pipe will need one of each. Finished in the same deep Brilliant White glaze as the Artworks skirting tile and the wider range.

⚠ Installation & Care Tips

Adhesive & Grout: Fix with a white flexible tile adhesive, and seal the joint with the floor in flexible silicone rather than grout to allow for movement.
Layout: Fix the corners first and run the straight skirting into them, so the moulded profile lines up precisely on both faces.
Cleaning: No sealing required. Warm water and a mild detergent; take care not to leave acidic cleaners standing in the profile at floor level.

Do I need the left or the right skirting corner?

Stand facing the external corner: if the skirting run approaches from your left, take the left-hand piece; if it approaches from the right, take the right. A projecting corner such as a boxed pipe or chimney breast needs one of each.

How are the skirting external corners supplied?

Individually rather than by the box, so you can order exactly the number your run requires. Each measures 167 x 152mm and is glazed to match the Artworks Brilliant White skirting tile.

Will Brilliant White match across the different Artworks shapes and mouldings?

Every Artworks piece is finished in the same Brilliant White glaze, so field tiles, half tiles, mouldings, skirtings and corners are designed to be used together. As with any glazed ceramic there can be slight variation between production batches, so we recommend ordering everything for a scheme at the same time.

Can I see a sample before I order?

Yes. Cut samples are free to collect from our Ascot showroom, or we can post one to you for the cost of postage. Seeing the glaze in your own light is the surest way to judge how it will sit against your paint, stone and metalwork.
