Product details

Suitability & installation

Where can this tile be used?

Suitable for floors. It is also listed for outdoor use; confirm the substrate, drainage and fixing system for the exact project.

What is the material and finish?

Material: Ceramic. Finish: Matt. Natural variation, glaze and texture can look different under room lighting, so order a sample where available.

Can it be used with underfloor heating?

The current catalogue data lists this product as suitable with underfloor heating. The heating system, substrate, movement joints and adhesive still need to be specified correctly for the installation.

Is it suitable outside and is it frost resistant?

Outdoor/external use is included in the current catalogue data. A frost rating is not stated here; confirm it before specifying the tile for exposed external conditions.

Product story

Carnation Pink, Handled With Restraint

Carnation Pink set against Old London is the least expected pairing in the Victorian range, and the weathered grey is precisely what keeps the pink dignified. Order the pairing from Hyperion Tiles, your official Original Style stockist.

Carnation Pink on its own would be a risk. Held against Old London, a grey that already looks aged, it stops being decorative and becomes historic, closer to the faded rose you find in an old encaustic floor than to anything deliberately sweet.

Both colours belong to the tile body itself, a matt vitrified ceramic of 9mm. Because nothing sits on the surface as a glaze, the pink will not thin to grey where a doorway takes the most traffic, and the floor is equally at home on an exterior path.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.

Additional supplier returns have their own eligibility rules, charges and exclusions. These do not override statutory cancellation rights or rights for faulty goods. See our refund policy and supplier return guidance before arranging a return.

Installation & Care Tips

Installation & care

  • Setting Out: Dry-lay a full repeat and stand back from it in the actual room, because this pairing reads differently at a distance.
  • Adhesive & Grout: Flexible adhesive over a level base, and a grout taken from the Old London rather than the pink keeps the balance right.
  • Sealing & Cleaning: There is no glaze, so seal the floor once laid and dried; keep to pH-neutral cleaning afterwards and avoid acidic products.
PLAN IT ONCE. KEEP IT TOGETHER.
