A deep matt black glazed-ceramic metro tile in a classic 10 x 30cm format, from Hyperion Tiles.

Aria Black Matt brings dramatic, contemporary depth to kitchen splashbacks and bathroom walls. The soft, light-absorbing black creates a confident, architectural backdrop that feels effortlessly modern and quietly luxurious.

The matt glaze gives the black a velvety, non-reflective surface that diffuses light softly and disguises everyday marks, while the smooth ceramic body wipes clean with ease. With no shade variation (V1), the colour stays beautifully even across the whole wall.

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

To request a return, contact Hyperion within 14 days of delivery. For eligible online consumer cancellations, you have a further 14 days after telling us to send the goods back. Contact us for the correct return address; your statutory cancellation does not depend on our authorisation.

How many Aria tiles do I need per square metre?

You need 33.33 tiles per square metre. Aria is sold by the box of 40 tiles, with each box covering 1.2m². We always recommend adding around 10% extra for cuts and wastage, and our team at the Ascot showroom is happy to check your quantities before you order.

Can Aria Black Matt be used on floors?

No. Aria Black Matt is a glazed ceramic tile made for internal walls only — it isn't suitable for floors or for outdoor use. It is ideal for splashbacks, feature walls and bathroom or kitchen walls. If you would like a coordinating floor tile, our Ascot team can point you in the right direction.

How do I clean and maintain Aria ceramic tiles?

Aria is wonderfully low-maintenance. Simply wipe or mop with warm water and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. As a glazed ceramic, it needs no sealing and shrugs off everyday splashes and steam, so its matt finish keeps looking its best with very little effort.

Adhesive & Grout: Use a high-quality flexible wall adhesive and a matching grout. A contrasting grout will emphasise the classic metro brick lines, while a tonal grout keeps the look seamless.
Layout Options: Lay in a traditional brick bond, a stacked grid, herringbone or vertical stack to suit your scheme.
