Calacatta Viola Honed Marble Tile

Dramatic Italian Inspiration

The Fired Earth Calacatta Viola collection is specifically designed for those who wish to make an unforgettable, highly architectural statement. Quarried directly in Italy, this luxurious stone has been revered for centuries for its highly expressive, artistic patterns. Rather than fading into the background, the breathtaking deep purple and burgundy veining demands attention, anchoring your interior and providing a rich, opulent aesthetic that works flawlessly in both traditional and contemporary settings.

Versatile Formats & Extreme Variation

To ensure you can create a highly bespoke layout, this collection is available in two distinct formats. The grand rectangular base tiles provide a sweeping, elegant look, while the geometric hexagon mosaics introduce incredible texture and visual interest, pairing beautifully together in larger bathrooms. Because both formats are cut from genuine blocks of natural stone, every single tile is a unique masterpiece. Across your installation, you will experience a dramatic, shifting spectrum of base colours and intricate veining, ensuring your finished space is completely unique.

The Beauty of the Patina

While it possesses a striking, bold appearance, natural marble is an enduring, living material that gracefully ages alongside your home. The beautifully honed surface provides a smooth, satin-like touch that is practical for everyday living, particularly for the hexagon mosaics which naturally offer added slip resistance via their grout lines. Over time and with use, the stone naturally develops a soft, organic patina, proving that authentic Calacatta marble actually becomes more stunning and characterful with age.

Installation & Care Tips

To achieve the best possible finish with your natural marble tiles, we strongly recommend unpacking and blending tiles or mosaic sheets from multiple boxes prior to fixing. This ensures the extreme natural variations in colour and veining are beautifully distributed. Use a high-quality, flexible white adhesive. Because marble is porous, you must thoroughly seal the tiles both before and after grouting using a 3mm grout joint. For ongoing care, clean exclusively with a pH-neutral stone cleaner to preserve the integrity of the sealant and the stone.
