Hollywood is a concise Ca'Pietra porcelain range: three colours, Rose, Turquoise and Sand, all in a single 60 x 120cm format, 1cm thick and sold for walls and floors. At this size a wall takes relatively few tiles, so there are few grout lines and the colour of the tile does most of the work.

Hollywood Large-Format Porcelain Tiles

Rose and Turquoise are the bolder options, for a feature wall in a living space or a statement floor in a hallway. Sand is the quieter of the three and sits comfortably with timber, plain white and natural stone. Set vertically, the tiles draw the eye upwards and make a ceiling feel higher; laid lengthways along a corridor, they lengthen the space. Large formats need a flat, well-prepared substrate and two people to handle, so use a tiler experienced with 60 x 120cm tiles.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Ca'Pietra Hollywood tiles suitable for floors?

Yes. The Hollywood collection is crafted from highly durable porcelain, making it structurally suitable for interior floors. However, because they feature a highly polished, gloss finish, they are best suited to dry living areas and low-traffic zones rather than wet room floors where higher slip resistance is required.

Do these onyx-effect porcelain tiles require sealing?

No. Unlike genuine natural onyx or marble, which are porous and require regular, careful maintenance, the Hollywood tiles are made from glazed porcelain. They are completely non-absorbent and do not require any specialist sealing before or after installation.

Can I use the Hollywood collection in a shower enclosure?

Absolutely. The non-porous nature of the porcelain makes it completely water-resistant, and the smooth, polished surface is incredibly easy to wipe clean. This makes the collection a spectacular choice for creating a luxurious, jewel-toned feature wall inside a shower or wet room.

Can I install these large-format tiles with underfloor heating?

Yes. Porcelain is a superb thermal conductor. The entire Hollywood collection is fully compatible with both electric and water-based underfloor heating systems, ensuring your grand spaces remain warm and comfortable throughout the year.

What is the best laying pattern for the 60x120cm tiles?

Due to the manufacturing process of large-format porcelain, there can be a slight, natural "bow" in the center of the tiles. To minimize any "lipping" (where one edge sits slightly higher than the adjacent tile), it is highly recommended to lay them either in a straight stack (joints aligned square) or staggered by no more than one-third of the tile length, rather than a traditional 50:50 brick-bond pattern.

Cinematic Glamour and Onyx Effects

The Ca'Pietra Hollywood porcelain collection is designed for those who wish to make a bold, sophisticated statement. Drawing inspiration from the deep allure of classic Hollywood glamour and the complex beauty of precious gemstones, these tiles feature an incredibly detailed onyx effect. The intricate, flowing veining naturally draws the eye, adding immense depth and character to the surface. Paired with a highly reflective, polished finish, the Hollywood collection instantly transforms standard rooms into opulent, high-end sanctuaries.

Vibrant Jewel Tones

To help you achieve your desired aesthetic, the Hollywood range is available in three distinct, captivating colourways. Hollywood Turquoise delivers the striking, vibrant intensity of a precious gemstone, making it perfect for dramatic feature walls. Hollywood Rose offers a softer, blush-toned elegance that brings incredible warmth to bathroom settings. Alternatively, Hollywood Sand provides a versatile, neutral foundation with rich, golden undertones that pairs beautifully with brushed brass or matte black fixtures.

Large Format and Seamless Luxury

Measuring an impressive 60x120cm, these large-format rectangular tiles enhance the modern appeal of the collection. Because they are manufactured with precision rectified edges, your tiler can install them using ultra-narrow grout joints. This drastically reduces visual interruptions, allowing the beautiful, flowing onyx patterns to continue seamlessly across your shower enclosures, feature walls, or expansive floors, resulting in a highly refined and continuous aesthetic.
