Himalaya Porcelain

Yes, they are exceptionally well-suited. The Himalaya collection features a textured matt finish that achieves an R11 slip rating. This provides a very high level of slip resistance, making these large-format porcelain tiles a safe, practical, and highly luxurious choice for shower enclosures, wet rooms, and bathroom floors.

No. Unlike natural stone, which is porous and requires regular sealing to prevent stains and water damage, the Himalaya tiles are made from dense porcelain. They are completely non-absorbent and do not require any specialist sealing before or after installation, offering a wonderfully low-maintenance surface.

Absolutely. The high-density porcelain construction means they possess the structural strength required for residential floors, while their 9mm thickness ensures they can be safely installed on interior walls. Using the same 60x120cm tile on both the floor and the wall is a fantastic way to create a seamless, cohesive, and spa-like bathroom environment.

Yes. Porcelain is a superb thermal conductor. The entire Himalaya collection is fully compatible with both electric and water-based underfloor heating systems, ensuring your serene, spa-like spaces remain comfortably warm throughout the year.

Because they are large-format tiles, there can be a slight, natural "bow" in the center resulting from the manufacturing process. To minimise any "lipping" (where one edge sits slightly higher than the adjacent tile), it is highly recommended to lay them either in a straight stack (joints aligned perfectly square) or staggered by no more than one-third of the tile's length, avoiding a traditional 50:50 brick-bond pattern.
