Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Ca'Pietra Flanders clay pavers suitable for driveways?

Yes. With their exceptionally robust 6cm thickness and hardwearing clay composition, the Flanders pavers are structurally sound enough to handle vehicular traffic. This makes them a highly popular and aesthetically pleasing choice for traditional driveways and heavy-use outdoor areas.

Do these tumbled clay pavers require sealing?

Yes. Because they are crafted from natural, porous clay, the Flanders pavers must be correctly sealed before and after grouting. Using a high-quality impregnating sealer will protect the pavers from dirt, moisture, and staining, ensuring they remain incredibly durable and beautiful for decades.

Can I use the Flanders pavers indoors?

Absolutely. While they are primarily designed for external landscaping, bringing these rustic pavers indoors is a fantastic design choice. They are highly suitable for heavy-traffic interior floors, such as mudrooms, conservatories, and rustic country kitchens, helping to create a seamless flow between your home and garden.

Are these clay pavers slip-resistant?

Yes. The natural texture of the fired clay, combined with the multiple grout joints created by the 5x20.4cm brick format, provides an excellent level of natural slip resistance. This makes the Flanders collection a safe and practical option for wet outdoor areas, including patios and swimming pool surrounds.

What layouts can I create with the brick format?

The versatile 5x20.4cm rectangular proportion allows for incredible creative freedom. You can install the pavers in a classic staggered brick-bond, a highly traditional basket-weave pattern, or a sweeping herringbone layout, which adds wonderful architectural movement and texture to both driveways and garden paths.

Authentic Rustic Charm

The Ca'Pietra Flanders Tumbled Clay Pavers perfectly capture the endearing warmth and soul of historic terracotta flooring. Each clay block is meticulously tumbled, providing distressed, softened edges and a gently worn surface that evokes the feeling of a centuries-old country estate. Proudly endorsed by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), this collection delivers a deeply authentic, heritage aesthetic that harmonizes effortlessly with natural garden landscapes and period properties alike.

Three Earthy Colourways

To ensure your paving seamlessly integrates with your existing architecture, the Flanders collection is available in three distinct, earthy tones. Choose the Flanders Buff for a lighter, sun-bleached Mediterranean feel, or opt for the classic Flanders Warm Russet to inject rich, traditional terracotta warmth. For a more contemporary, dramatic statement or a sophisticated contrast, the Flanders Charcoal option provides deep, moody tones that look spectacular against lush green garden planting.

Incredible Durability for Indoors and Out

Boasting a robust 6cm thickness, these clay pavers are engineered to withstand the heaviest of footfall and changing weather conditions. They are a superb, frost-proof choice for exterior landscaping, including driveways, garden pathways, swimming pool surrounds, and expansive patios. However, their charm isn't restricted to the outdoors. You can confidently install these thick pavers internally to create an incredibly hardwearing, classic floor in heavy-traffic utility areas, boot rooms, and rustic farmhouse kitchens.
