East Java Marble

Yes. Natural marble is a fantastic material for bathrooms and wet rooms when properly maintained. The honed finish provides a tactile surface, making the East Java collection highly suitable for interior walls and floors, including luxury shower enclosures and elegant kitchen splashbacks, provided they are correctly sealed.

Yes. Marble is a naturally porous stone, so sealing is absolutely essential. You must seal the tiles prior to grouting and again after installation to protect them against water and staining. For the mesh-mounted mosaic options, we highly recommend using a water-based sealer (such as Stain Block Eco) rather than a spirit-based sealer, as harsh chemicals can sometimes react with the mosaic backing glue.

Absolutely. Natural marble is an exceptional thermal conductor. The East Java bricks and mosaics are fully compatible with both electric and water-based underfloor heating systems, ensuring your tropical-inspired floors remain beautifully warm and comfortable throughout the year.

The collection offers three distinct options: a versatile 10x30.5cm Honed Brick, an intricate Plume Mosaic featuring a delicate, feathery scallop shape, and a striking Temple Mosaic that boasts a brilliant, repeating geometric pattern. They can be used individually or combined for maximum design impact.

Yes. Because East Java is a natural marble product, it features a high degree of tonal variation and unique veining from tile to tile. This natural diversity—including occasional rich mineral deposits—is an inherent characteristic of the stone and is exactly what gives the finished floor or wall its authentic, premium beauty.
