Bourgogne Porcelain Tiles

French Limestone Inspiration

The Fired Earth Bourgogne collection is specifically designed for those who wish to elevate their home with the unmatched luxury of genuine natural stone, without the rigorous upkeep. Taking deep inspiration from Pierre de Bourgogne—the celebrated natural limestone of Burgundy—these porcelain tiles flawlessly replicate the organic characteristics of the real thing. If you look closely, you will see delicate mineral veining and authentic-looking irregular fossil shells, providing a deeply historic and sophisticated backdrop to both period properties and sleek modern builds.

Subtly Aged Character

To ensure your space feels warm and authentically grounded, the Bourgogne design features a wonderfully tactile, soft tumbled edge. This careful detailing removes the harsh, clinical lines of standard modern tiles, giving your floor a beautifully, subtly aged look as if it has been walked on for decades. Paired with a delicate honed finish that provides a gentle gleam rather than a stark gloss, these tiles offer a profoundly serene and welcoming atmosphere.

Unbeatable Porcelain Practicality

While they look virtually indistinguishable from porous, natural French limestone, the Bourgogne tiles are actually manufactured from high-performance porcelain. This means they are incredibly hardwearing, completely non-porous, and naturally repel water and everyday household stains. Requiring absolutely zero specialist sealing treatments, they are a phenomenally practical choice for high-traffic hallways, busy family kitchens, and demanding wet environments like steam rooms, wet rooms, and even swimming pools.

Installation & Care Tips

To achieve the best possible finish with your porcelain tiles, we strongly recommend unpacking and blending tiles from multiple boxes prior to fixing. This ensures the moderate natural variations in the fossil detailing and veining are beautifully distributed across your floor. A 2mm grout joint is recommended for a seamless look. Use a high-quality, flexible adhesive, especially if installing over underfloor heating. Maintenance is wonderfully simple; just stick to regular sweeping and mopping with a mild, pH-neutral cleaner to keep your limestone-effect floors looking pristine.
