A Portuguese Patchwork: Infusion Amparo Patterned Tile
A teal-and-white encaustic-style porcelain in a 20 x 20cm square — Infusion Amparo from Hyperion Tiles, your official Fired Earth stockist.
Amparo captures the spirit of traditional Portuguese cement tiles in hard-wearing porcelain. A central starburst motif in soft teal, cream and charcoal repeats across the surface, so a run of tiles reads as one flowing patchwork — a lively yet grounded backdrop for a cloakroom floor, a kitchen splashback or a characterful hallway.
Because it is through-bodied matt porcelain rather than glazed cement, it needs no sealing, resists frost and carries an R10 slip rating — equally at home on internal and external walls and floors, and in wet rooms.

⚠ Installation & Care Tips
- Adhesive & Grout: Fix with a high-quality flexible adhesive. A soft grey or off-white grout keeps the focus on the pattern; use a frost-resistant, exterior-grade system in wet and external areas.
- Layout Options: Lay with a fine joint and shuffle tiles from several boxes to build the patchwork evenly, or frame a plain floor with an Amparo border.
- Cleaning: Sweep and mop with warm water and a mild cleaner. Matt porcelain needs no sealing and shrugs off splashes, steam and frost.

Delivery And Returns
Access Issues For Large Pallet Deliveries
Our delivery drivers may be prevented from delivering your order by the following:
• Low hanging trees and bridges.
• Narrow roads, gateways, or cars on either side of the road.
• No turning point for the delivery vehicle.
• Unfinished tracks and roads.
• Lack of solid and flat surface to unload.
• Gravel driveways.
If access issues are not advised and/or delivery cannot be made due to unattendance at delivery, a re-delivery charge may be applied.
Checking Orders
Check your delivery as soon as it arrives!
Once the goods are unloaded, they become the responsibility of the receiver.
If you notice any issues with your order, please contact us within three working days so we can resolve the problem quickly and efficiently. Prompt reporting helps us ensure your satisfaction with our products and services.
Fired Earth Tile Returns
Returns are accepted only for complete orders; partial orders cannot be accepted. To begin a return, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your delivery.
All other Brands
You may return your items within 14 days of receiving or collecting your delivery. Please note that a restocking fee of 20% to 30% will apply, depending on the specific terms of the product range. For further details, feel free to contact us.

Orders for special order items are non-returnable unless they are damaged on delivery or are faulty.

Shipping Information
Once an order has been placed goods that are in stock, can normally be dispatched for delivery within 3-5 working days. Delivery of special orders, slabs, large-format tiles, some bathware and sizeable orders is best carried out on one of our specialist off-load vehicles, so timescales will be advised before any tiles are ordered. A specific delivery date will be arranged to suit you.
