Traditional Sandy Warmth: Ascoli Porcelain Beige 40x40cm

Capture the warm, organic textures of geological stone with the high-definition precision of the Ascoli Porcelain Beige 40x40 Tile by Ca' Pietra.

A definitive highlight of our Stone Effect Collection, the Ascoli Porcelain series (formerly known as Tivoli) emulates the dappled textures and tonal depth of natural travertine with remarkable fidelity. This classic 40x40cm format features a rich Beige base, providing a timeless and inviting foundation for any interior scheme. The Satin finish offers a refined, soft-touch surface, while the non-rectified tumbled edges provide an authentic, hand-finished quality that brings a sense of permanence to your space.

Crafted from 9.5mm thick high-performance porcelain, these tiles are engineered for both internal floors and walls. Because the Ascoli range is non-porous and resistant to moisture, it requires no sealing, making it a highly practical alternative to natural travertine. The tumbled edge detail allows for a traditional 3-5mm grout joint, delivering a prestigious architectural aesthetic that balances rustic Mediterranean charm with modern durability.

Installation & care

Installation & care

  • Adhesive: Use a high-quality flexible porcelain tile adhesive. For wall installations, ensure the substrate is correctly primed for a permanent bond.
  • Grout: We recommend a 3-5mm grout joint to complement the tumbled edge. Neutral grout colours like Limestone or Sand will perfectly enhance the warm beige tones.
  • Cleaning: Maintain the satin surface with warm soapy water and a microfibre mop. Porcelain is non-porous and naturally resistant to the stresses of a modern home.

Tone, glaze and veining can read differently in your own light. Cut samples are free; sample postage is £4.99 (£8 for Original Style) and is refunded on tile orders over £50 using the code emailed with your sample order. Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

Unused, complete orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery; as tiles are picked and packed to your quantity, a restocking fee of 20–30% applies depending on the range. Special-order items are non-returnable unless damaged on delivery or faulty. Ordering a free sample first is the simplest way to avoid a return.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the "Beige" colourway different from the Avorio?

The Ascoli Beige offers a slightly deeper, more saturated sandy tone compared to the lighter, creamier Avorio. It is designed to mimic the classic earthy hues found in traditional Italian travertine, making it an excellent choice for adding warmth and a sense of history to kitchens, hallways, and living areas.

Does the "Tumbled" edge require a specific grout joint?

Yes. Because the Ascoli range is designed with a softened, non-rectified edge to mimic hand-finished stone, it is best installed with a wider grout joint of 3mm to 5mm. This wider joint allows the unique, irregular character of the edges to stand out, creating an authentic flagstone appearance.

Is this porcelain suitable for high-traffic areas?

Absolutely. Unlike natural travertine, which is porous and susceptible to staining, Ascoli Porcelain is incredibly dense and non-porous. It is highly resistant to scratches, spills, and wear, making it a perfect, maintenance-free solution for busy family homes and heavy-traffic kitchen floors.
