Stacked Stone: Ardesia Ocre Muro 32x62.5cm

Build a wall of stacked slate with the Ardesia Ocre Muro 32x62.5cm porcelain tile from Hyperion Tiles.

Muro is Italian for wall, and this is Ardesia's decorative face — a deep-relief tile moulded to look like courses of split slate stacked one on another. Ocre carries the rust and iron-oxide tones of a weathered bed, and on a relief tile that oxidised colour does real work: it settles into the shadow lines and makes the wall look aged rather than new.

Please note: Muro is a wall tile only. It is rated for internal and external walls and carries no floor wear rating — the relief texture is not designed to be walked on. For floors in the same colourway, choose the Ardesia Ocre 32 x 62.5cm field tile, which is F4 rated and matches this tone exactly.

Installation & care

Walls only: Muro carries no floor wear rating. Use the Ardesia Ocre field tile for floors.
Adhesive & Grout: Use a high-quality flexible adhesive suitable for porcelain, and note that Ardesia is not rectified — allow around a 3mm joint. A warm mid-brown grout close to the tile tone is essential here: the relief already provides the shadow lines, and a contrasting grout will fight them.
Layout Options: Muro reads best run in a straight stack so the moulded courses line through horizontally, which is what makes it look like real stacked stone rather than a repeating panel. Dry-lay and shuffle first — Ocre has the widest tonal spread in the range.
Cleaning: Dust settles in the relief, so a soft brush is more effective than a cloth. Clean with warm water and a mild cleaner. No sealing needed.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

Unused, complete orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery; as tiles are picked and packed to your quantity, a restocking fee of 20–30% applies depending on the range. Special-order items are non-returnable unless damaged on delivery or faulty. Ordering a free sample first is the simplest way to avoid a return.
