Classic Heritage: Harlech Rustic Oak

Invite the timeless warmth of the forest into your home with Harlech Rustic Oak—a 15mm engineered wood floor that celebrates the unique character and golden honey hues of traditional oak.

Harlech Rustic Oak is the quintessential choice for those who love the organic beauty of real wood. Featuring a "Rustic" grade, each plank is a showcase of nature’s artwork, filled with distinctive knots, swirling grains, and beautiful tonal variations. The wood is brushed to bring out its tactile texture and finished with multiple coats of UV lacquer. This provides a subtle, satin sheen that not only enhances the oak's golden glow but also offers a durable, easy-to-clean surface. Built with a stable engineered core and a generous 4mm real oak wear layer, this floor provides the structural integrity of solid wood with the versatility required for modern living.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

Unused, complete orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery; as tiles are picked and packed to your quantity, a restocking fee of 20–30% applies depending on the range. Special-order items are non-returnable unless damaged on delivery or faulty. Ordering a free sample first is the simplest way to avoid a return.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

What does "Rustic" grade mean?

Rustic grade allows for a natural mix of knots, grain patterns, and colour variations. It is the most popular choice for those who want their floor to look like authentic, natural timber rather than a uniform manufactured product.

Can this floor be sanded?

Yes. With a 4mm real oak wear layer, Harlech Ecru Oak can be sanded and refinished 2-3 times during its lifespan, though the matte lacquer is designed to last for many years.

Is it easy to maintain?

Very. The UV lacquer provides a smooth, protective shield. Simply sweep or vacuum regularly and use a well-wrung damp mop with a specialist wood floor cleaner.

Why should I choose engineered over solid wood?

Engineered wood is much more stable than solid wood. It handles changes in humidity and temperature far better, which is why it is the only real wood option recommended for use with underfloor heating.
