Coastal Sandstone Versatility: Dorset Porcelain Beige Collection

Bring the layered beauty of the Jurassic Coast into any room with the multi-format Dorset Porcelain Beige Collection by Ca' Pietra.

Inspired by the swirling sandstone cliffs of the British south coast, the Dorset Porcelain series (formerly Charmouth) is now available in four versatile sizes to suit every architectural requirement: 30x60cm, 60x60cm, 60x120cm, and the grand 80x80cm. This collection captures the organic movement of natural stone in a warm beige palette, finished with a sophisticated Satin glaze that is as soft to the touch as it is beautiful to look at.

Crafted from rectified porcelain, these tiles offer dimensional precision, allowing for ultra-narrow 2mm grout joints regardless of the format chosen. Whether you are creating a seamless floor-to-wall transition in a luxury bathroom or an expansive open-plan living area, the Dorset series provides a practical R10 slip resistance and a durable, non-porous surface that defines modern coastal elegance.

Installation & care

Installation & care

  • Adhesive: Use a high-quality flexible porcelain tile adhesive. For large formats like the 60x120cm or 80x80cm, ensure full bed coverage for a secure bond.
  • Grout: We recommend a 2mm grout joint. Neutral colours like Linen or Champagne will enhance the warm, sandy tones of the Beige collection.
  • Cleaning: Simply maintain the satin surface with warm soapy water and a microfibre mop. Porcelain is non-porous and naturally resistant to the stresses of a modern home.
Samples

Tone, glaze and veining can read differently in your own light. Cut samples are free; sample postage is £4.99 (£8 for Original Style) and is refunded on tile orders over £50 using the code emailed with your sample order. Use the sample option in the buying panel, or call our Ascot team on 01344 620211 for help comparing colour, finish and quantities.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

Unused, complete orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery; as tiles are picked and packed to your quantity, a restocking fee of 20–30% applies depending on the range. Special-order items are non-returnable unless damaged on delivery or faulty. Ordering a free sample first is the simplest way to avoid a return.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

Which size is best for a smaller bathroom?

For smaller spaces, the 30x60cm or 60x60cm formats are often preferred as they provide a balanced scale. However, using the larger 60x120cm format on walls can actually make a small room feel bigger by reducing the number of grout lines, creating a more continuous "monolithic" stone appearance.

Can I mix different sizes in the same project?

Absolutely. Using the 60x120cm on the walls paired with the 80x80cm or 60x60cm on the floor is a popular design choice. Because all sizes share the same production run characteristics and the same coastal sandstone aesthetic, they coordinate perfectly for a "total look" interior.

Is the Satin finish suitable for all these sizes?

Yes, the entire Dorset series across all four formats features the signature Satin finish. This provides a soft-touch, semi-matte glow that is incredibly consistent, ensuring that whether you choose a small or large tile, the tactile experience and light reflection remain uniform.
