For a seamless white finish , we recommend Mapei Ultracolour Plus 100 White . This makes the skirting look solid and continuous. For a vintage definition , you can use Mapei Ultracolour Plus 103 Moon White or 110 Manhattan (pale grey) to highlight the brick-bond pattern.

Q: Does this match the Acanthus tile?

Yes. The Edwardian Highgate Base is the exact same white colour and width (22.8cm) as the Edwardian Acanthus Highgate tile, ensuring the grout lines align perfectly vertically.

Crazing: Even in white, this heritage glaze is designed to "craze" (develop fine hairline cracks) over time. This is a deliberate feature of the Edwardian range.
Sealing: You must seal these tiles with a high-quality impregnator before grouting. This is critical for white tiles to prevent dark grout or everyday dirt from staining the fine cracks.
Installation: This is a base tile (skirting). It should be installed at the bottom of the wall, typically sitting directly on the finished floor.
Cleaning: Use a pH-neutral cleaner and a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive pads or harsh chemicals that could dull the gloss finish.
