Product story

Classic White 120 x 60cm Tiles

Classic is exactly that: a marble-effect porcelain with no argument in it, a quiet ground and enough veining to read as stone from standing height. Made for schemes where the floor should not be the loudest thing in the room. Shown in White.

At 120 x 60 x 1cm it is a large-format piece, and the bond does the rest. Porcelain asks nothing of you afterwards — no sealing, no reaction to spills, and no restriction over underfloor heating.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

Are marble-effect porcelain tiles a good alternative?

Yes, marble-effect porcelain tiles offer an excellent alternative for those seeking the look of natural marble with less maintenance. At Hyperion Tiles, we stock a variety of high-quality porcelain tiles that authentically replicate the veining and texture of marble, providing a similar aesthetic at a more accessible price point. Porcelain is a non-porous, man-made material that is highly resistant to moisture, stains and scratches, making it a practical option for busy households or commercial environments. Unlike natural marble, porcelain doesn’t need sealing and is easier to clean using standard household products. Marble-effect porcelain tiles come in a wide range of finishes, from high-gloss to satin, and are available in large-format sizes to reduce grout lines and enhance the sense of space. Whether you’re tiling a wet room, kitchen splashback or living room floor, marble-look porcelain provides timeless elegance with increased durability and minimal upkeep.

Are marble effect tiles suitable for use in bathrooms and wet areas?

Marble effect tiles are an excellent choice for bathrooms, wet rooms, and other moisture-prone areas. Unlike natural marble, which is porous and prone to staining and water damage if not sealed properly, porcelain and ceramic marble effect tiles are water-resistant and much more hard-wearing. This makes them ideal for wet environments like showers, bathroom floors, and even walls around baths or basins. At Hyperion Tiles, we offer a range of marble effect floor tiles that not only look stunning in bathrooms but are also slip-resistant and compatible with underfloor heating. This combination of beauty and practicality is why they’re so popular for luxury bathrooms, spa-inspired en-suites, and hotel-style wet rooms. You can also match them with marble effect wall tiles to create a seamless, elegant finish from floor to ceiling. With easy cleaning, high durability, and no need for sealing, marble effect tiles give you all the glamour of marble with none of the maintenance headaches, making them perfect for stylish yet functional bathroom designs.

Can marble effect tiles be used with underfloor heating?

Yes, most marble effect floor tiles are perfectly compatible with underfloor heating systems, making them a great choice for creating warm, luxurious interiors. Porcelain and ceramic are excellent conductors of heat and retain warmth efficiently, which helps evenly distribute heat across the room and improves energy efficiency. Whether you’re installing underfloor heating in a bathroom, kitchen, or open-plan living space, marble effect tiles will work well both functionally and aesthetically. They provide the polished, premium finish of real marble, but without the issues that natural stone can present under heat—such as cracking or becoming too cold without constant heating. At Hyperion Tiles, we can help you choose tiles that are suitable for use with electric or water-based underfloor heating systems and offer advice on the right adhesive and installation methods. With the right setup, you can enjoy the comfort of warm floors and the elegance of marble, all while benefiting from a surface that’s both practical and long-lasting.

How do I clean and maintain marble effect floor tiles?

Marble effect floor tiles are very easy to clean and require minimal maintenance compared to natural marble. Since they’re usually made from porcelain or ceramic, they don’t absorb water or stains and are highly resistant to everyday wear. To keep them looking their best, all you need is a regular sweep or vacuum to remove dust and debris, followed by a mop with a mild, pH-neutral tile cleaner. It’s best to avoid harsh or acidic products like bleach or vinegar, as these can damage the grout over time or dull the surface finish. If your tiles have a gloss finish, using a soft cloth or mop helps maintain their shine, while matt tiles benefit from regular cleaning to preserve their subtle texture. At Hyperion Tiles, we can recommend suitable cleaning products that are safe for your specific tile finish. Because these tiles are non-porous, there’s no need for sealing or polishing, making them an ideal choice for busy homes or commercial spaces. With such low upkeep, marble effect tiles are perfect if you love the look of marble but want something that’s genuinely easy to live with.
