Product story

Italian Conglomerate Stone, Grand Format: Ceppo Beige 60 x 120cm

A characterful pebble-inclusion stone-effect porcelain in a grand 60 x 120cm plank — Ceppo Beige from Hyperion Tiles, your official Fired Earth stockist.

Ceppo takes its cue from Ceppo di Grè, the distinctive conglomerate stone of northern Italy, where scattered pebbles and mineral fragments are set into a fine matrix. That unmistakable surface is faithfully captured here in a matt porcelain, giving real depth and texture underfoot.

The Beige colourway is a soft, creamy neutral — a warm and versatile backdrop for both pared-back and bolder schemes. In this grand 60 x 120cm format it makes a striking, contemporary statement across larger floors. As a through-body porcelain it is frostproof, impervious and needs no sealing — rated for walls and floors, wet rooms and underfloor heating, indoors and out.

Delivery

In-stock orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days, with express options available. Special-order and made-to-order ranges carry their own lead time, shown on the product page and confirmed when you order. Pallet, slab, large-format and bathware orders travel on a specialist off-load service — we confirm the timescale and book a date that suits you before dispatch.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your order and postcode (we do not offer showroom collection) and UK delivery is free on orders over £1,000 on most ranges. For pallet deliveries please tell us about access issues in advance — low trees or bridges, narrow roads or gateways, gravel drives, or no turning or unloading space — as a re-delivery charge may apply if we cannot complete delivery.

When your order arrives

Please check your delivery as soon as it arrives. Once goods are unloaded they become the responsibility of the receiver, so if anything isn’t right, contact us within three working days and we’ll put it right quickly.

Returns

Unused, complete orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery; as tiles are picked and packed to your quantity, a restocking fee of 20–30% applies depending on the range. Fired Earth ranges are returned through Fired Earth’s own returns process, and special-order items are non-returnable unless damaged on delivery or faulty. Ordering a free sample first is the simplest way to avoid a return.

Product Frequently Asked Questions

Is this real stone or porcelain?

This is a porcelain tile designed to replicate the look of Ceppo di Gré natural stone. Porcelain is more durable, non-porous, and requires zero maintenance compared to the real stone, making it ideal for busy homes.

Can I use this outdoors?

Yes. Fired Earth Ceppo Beige is frost-resistant and suitable for external use, allowing you to create a seamless flow from your kitchen to your patio. Note: For external patios, always check the slip rating or consider the 20mm paver version if available.

Do I need to seal these tiles?

No. Unlike natural stone, porcelain tiles do not require sealing. They are resistant to staining, water, and fading from UV light.

What grout colour should I use?

We recommend a neutral beige or light grey grout (such as "Limestone" or "Cement Grey") to blend with the background tone of the tile. A 2mm grout joint is recommended for rectified edges.

Is it suitable for underfloor heating?

Yes, absolutely. Porcelain is an excellent thermal conductor and works perfectly with both wet and electric underfloor heating systems.

Installation & Care Tips

Installation & care

  • Adhesive & Grout: Fix with a high-quality flexible adhesive and a tonal grout. For wet and external areas, specify a frost-resistant, exterior-grade system throughout.
  • Layout Options: Lay with a 3mm joint, shuffling tiles from several boxes so the pebble detail and shade variation flow naturally across the surface.
  • Cleaning: Sweep and mop with warm water and a mild cleaner. This matt porcelain needs no sealing and shrugs off splashes, steam and frost.
PLAN IT ONCE. KEEP IT TOGETHER.
