- Sealing is Essential: Black marble can show water spots ("etching") if not properly protected. It must be sealed before and after grouting with a high-quality impregnator (like Lithofin MN Stainstop).
- Adhesive Selection: Unlike white marble, black marble is generally installed with a flexible Grey adhesive, especially if using dark grout, to prevent light framing issues. However, always check the specific adhesive instructions.
- Cleaning: Never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon, bleach) on black marble as they will strip the surface and turn it white (etching). Use only pH-neutral stone cleaners.
- Natural Variation: Expect significant variation in the white/grey veining. Some tiles may be nearly solid black, while others may be heavily veined. Mix boxes to ensure an even distribution.

Access Issues For Large Pallet Deliveries
Our delivery drivers may be prevented from delivering your order by the following:
• Low hanging trees and bridges.
• Narrow roads, gateways, or cars on either side of the road.
• No turning point for the delivery vehicle.
• Unfinished tracks and roads.
• Lack of solid and flat surface to unload.
• Gravel driveways.
If access issues are not advised and/or delivery cannot be made due to unattendance at delivery, a re-delivery charge may be applied.

Once an order has been placed goods that are in stock, can normally be dispatched for delivery within 3-5 working days. Delivery of special orders, slabs, large-format tiles, some bathware and sizeable orders is best carried out on one of our specialist off-load vehicles, so timescales will be advised before any tiles are ordered.
