- Dry Laying: Always unpack and dry lay tiles from multiple boxes before fixing to ensure an even distribution of tones.
- Bowing: Bowed tiles are a natural feature of this range. Professional installation is recommended to manage irregular depths.
- Sealing: Reclaimed terracotta is highly porous. It must be sealed **before and after grouting**. We recommend a breathable sealer to protect the surface while allowing it to age naturally.
- Grout Choice: A wider grout joint (5-9mm) is recommended to accommodate the natural size variances. We suggest a natural tone like "Driftwood" or "Ivory."
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are the tiles wet upon receipt?
The tiles are often sprayed with water during the cutting and cleaning process in the workshop. They should be allowed to dry fully before installation and sealing.
Can these be used outdoors?
Because these tiles were originally roof tiles, they have historical weather resistance. However, for UK climates, we generally recommend them for interior use or semi-covered areas only to avoid frost damage.

Delivery And Returns
Access Issues For Large Pallet Deliveries
Our delivery drivers may be prevented from delivering your order by the following:
• Low hanging trees and bridges.
• Narrow roads, gateways, or cars on either side of the road.
• No turning point for the delivery vehicle.
• Unfinished tracks and roads.
• Lack of solid and flat surface to unload.
• Gravel driveways.
If access issues are not advised and/or delivery cannot be made due to unattendance at delivery, a re-delivery charge may be applied.

Once the goods are unloaded, they become the responsibility of the receiver.

Returns are accepted only for complete orders; partial orders cannot be accepted. To begin a return, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your delivery.

Once an order has been placed goods that are in stock, can normally be dispatched for delivery within 3-5 working days. Delivery of special orders, slabs, large-format tiles, some bathware and sizeable orders is best carried out on one of our specialist off-load vehicles, so timescales will be advised before any tiles are ordered.
