You must seal the sheets before grouting and again after grouting to protect the stone from absorbing water, soaps, and grout pigments. We recommend a high-quality impregnating sealer (lMN Stainstop) to keep the pink tones vibrant and stain-free.

Yes, the Aegean Pink Scallop Mosaic is suitable for wet room floors and shower trays. The mosaic format (many small tiles with grout lines) naturally provides good grip underfoot. However, because it is a light-coloured natural stone, you must ensure your tanking (waterproofing) is perfect and that the stone is thoroughly sealed to prevent water darkening it over time.

We strongly recommend using a White or very pale grey grout. Do not use dark or charcoal grouts, as the pigments can bleed into the porous pink marble and permanently stain the edges of the scallops. A light grout also helps the delicate scallop shape stand out clearly.

Natural marble is quarried from the earth, so no two sheets will be identical. Some scallops may be a solid blush pink, while others might feature heavier grey or orange veining. This "Extreme Variation" is intentional. We advise your tiler to open all boxes and "dry lay" the sheets first to blend the different tones evenly across the wall or floor.

You must avoid harsh supermarket cleaners, bleach, or acidic products (like lemon or vinegar-based sprays), as these will "etch" the surface and dull the finish. Use a specialist pH-neutral stone cleaner (such as LTP Waxwash) for daily cleaning to preserve the sealant and the stone's natural lustre.
