Outdoor Porcelain Tiles
Outdoor Porcelain & Patio Tiles
Bring considered, architectural style to your garden, patio or terrace with our collection of patio tiles and outdoor porcelain paving. Engineered for the British climate, our 20mm porcelain paving and exterior tiles are frost-proof, fade-resistant and slip-rated (R11), giving you the look of natural stone or timber with none of the sealing, staining or upkeep.
From sleek contemporary porcelain to riven stone, weathered wood-effect planks and statement patterned designs, the range spans the finishes designers reach for most, including pieces from Ca'Pietra and Minoli. Many of our indoor ranges have matching outdoor formats, so you can run a single look seamlessly from kitchen to terrace and dissolve the boundary between inside and out.

Why porcelain outdoors
At 20mm thick, porcelain paving is dense, non-porous and built to take footfall, furniture and frost year after year. It won't harbour moss the way natural stone can, wipes clean, and holds its colour through full sun and hard winters. For coordinated indoor-outdoor schemes, the same tile is often available in a 10mm interior version.

Outdoor porcelain tile FAQs
Can porcelain tiles be used outside?
Yes — 20mm exterior porcelain is engineered for outdoor use: frost-proof, fade-resistant and R11 slip-rated, so it performs through British winters and wet weather with almost no maintenance.
What thickness should outdoor porcelain paving be?
For patios, garden paths and driveways, choose 20mm porcelain paving for the strength to span a paving base. For balconies or terraces tiled onto screed, a 10mm exterior tile may be specified — our team can advise.
Are outdoor porcelain tiles slippery when wet?
Quality external porcelain carries an R11 (or higher) anti-slip rating designed for wet, outdoor use, giving far more grip underfoot than smooth natural stone.
Porcelain paving or natural stone — which is better outdoors?
Porcelain is denser and non-porous, so it resists frost, moss, algae and staining and holds its colour in full sun, with none of the sealing natural stone needs — the look of stone or timber with far less upkeep.
Can I match my indoor floor to my patio?
Yes — many ranges offer a 10mm indoor tile alongside a matching 20mm outdoor format, so you can run one seamless look from kitchen to terrace through bi-fold doors.
